Earthquake in Haiti

On January 12, a series of earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 6.5 to 7.3 devastated Haiti. The American Red Cross is working with its partners in the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network, including the Haitian Red Cross, and other partners to assist those affected by this disaster.

How to Help
Make a Cash Donation Your cash donation will help the American Red Cross respond to the needs of the Haitian people in the most effective, efficient way. You can donate online, call 341-442-6621, text "HAITI" to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

Donating Goods The American Red Cross is not accepting individual household goods for the Haiti earthquake response. All those offering assistance other than a cash donation (volunteers, goods and services) should register their offers to the Center for International Disaster Information.

Volunteering
The American Red Cross is not accepting volunteers to travel to Haiti. If you would like to volunteer for the American Red Cross, please contact your local chapter. If you are a doctor who wants to volunteer, please go to the Center for International Disaster Information (www.cidi.org) to register your interest.
